AOI continued...

Ever since I started drawing out maps for the AOI Secret London competition, I've been really keen to get in the print room and do a screen print of one of them. For this, I decided to stick with my original idea of including the names of old, abandoned tube stations into my map as I didn't want the design to look too complicated. I decided to work with 2 colours- navy blue and red on white paper as these also reflect the colours of the London Underground. I'm really pleased with how this has come out...

Bottles

Got my assortment of corks through in the post so I've finally been able to fill these up (with food dye) and finish them off. I'm pretty pleased with how they've come out- they look a lot better filled than they did empty.

Finished covers

A few alterations made to my 'He' jacket (added more to the extract at the back) and completed cover for Lucky Hans...

Book Jacket for 'HE'

Outcome? Not sure if it needs anymore tweaking...

Screen prints

I'm in the middle of making a couple of book covers, one for the MERZ story 'He' about a man who just keeps on growing. I really wanted to get some screen prints done before I leave so that I'm familiar with the process (plus they have a really nice aesthetic), so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I'm really pleased with how they've come out but need to make sure I plan slightly better next time to ensure that all the details I want to include come through and aren't covered by other layers of colour.
