Finished Print
After a lot of frustration, I've managed to get my olympic screen print finished. I really like the colour scheme of this one and am pretty pleased with how it's come out (although a few details are missing).

Digital
I've been having a ton of problems with my most recent screenprint and it's driving me slightly mad so I've temporarily abandoned the press this afternoon for my computer, resulting in a very quick digital version of my newest piece. Fingers crossed the real thing will all be resolved in a couple of days. But for now, here's the photoshop version...
In other news, I've been invited back by my wonderful old school to come in and give a talk to some sixth form art students about life as an illustrator! I'd better start planning my presentation...

Olympic fever
It may have all come to an end a few weeks ago, but I wanted to create a piece to celebrate the success of both the Olympic and Paralympic games. I had a fantastic time watching all the sport over the summer and was lucky enough to get tickets to see the handball too. Here's some work in progress. The piece will be a screenprint, most probably three colours which will probably take inspiration from the colour scheme of both games.
Finished!
FINALLY, after what seems an absolute age I've finished my 'He' character screenprint. Here he is for all to see...

Work In Progress...
I've FINALLY managed to get up and running with screen printing in the garage. It's taken a while and a lot of preparation but now I can get on and start producing some much needed work! I've got a few things on the go at the moment including a typography based piece and will update with sketchbook peeks and bits and bobs shortly. In the meantime, here's a quick shot of my homemade screen printing bed with a print in progress...

Printing!
It's been a while, but I've finally been able to get some more lino portraits printed on the work table my dad very kindly made me in the garage. I've created a set of what will be 24 signed limited edition prints all approx. A4 in size of Kurt Schwitters' Swineherd. I also want to do the same for some of my existing prints including the Good Man and He and try to sell them.
